How to safely share an RPG Maker translation
Export a protected translation for players or an editable project for your team as a folder or ZIP.
Open sharing
In the library, open the project menu and select Share translation. The same area is available under Properties > Sharing. Sharing requires a signed-in account, a connection, a compatible project, and access that includes this feature.
Choose a content type
- Protected distribution: for delivering the translation to players. Data is prepared for use in the game and editing is protected.
- Editor mode: for backups, teams, review, or continuing the project, because it retains the data required for editing in LRPGM.
Choose a folder or ZIP output. RAR and password protection may still be shown as unavailable, so do not rely on them in the current flow.
Customization
Title, description, credits, icon, and expiration options vary by plan. Basic uses the terms displayed on screen, while Plus enables additional customization and expiration controls when available.
After export
Send the generated folder or ZIP without manually editing its internal files. Signing and integrity protection help confirm the package remains valid. To update it, edit the LRPGM project and generate a new export.
