How to translate game videos and subtitles with LRPGM
Detect videos, transcribe audio with Whisper, translate subtitles, and review each line at the correct time.
Include subtitles in the scope
Open translation source selection and look for Video subtitles. When the project includes compatible videos, LRPGM lists detected files for searching and selection. Availability can depend on plan and account features.
Prepare and transcribe
On first use, the application may need to prepare or download the Whisper engine. Choose the videos, set the target language, and start. Audio is transcribed, divided into timed segments, and sent to the selected translation engine.
Review with the video
During review, select a subtitle to open the video at the matching point. Correct the text, verify proper names, and make sure the sentence fits the available time. Do not merge distant lines or remove required markers.
Result quality
Low volume, loud music, multiple speakers, and unusual pronunciation can reduce accuracy. Manually review important scenes. If a video does not appear, verify that it is inside the detected project folder and uses a supported format before running detection again.
