LRPGM API or translator error: what to check
Test the connection and verify credentials, plan access, provider limits, and network settings.
Test outside the project
Open Settings > Translation, select the engine, and use Test connection. This separates a provider failure from a project problem.
Check these points
- the engine is included in your current access;
- API key, region, session, or credential is in the correct field;
- the credential is valid and has provider quota or credit;
- Windows date and time are correct;
- firewall, antivirus, proxy, or Tor is not interrupting the connection;
- the service has not returned a temporary rate limit.
If you use Google through LRPGM, wait a few minutes and retry. For your own provider, check its dashboard as well. Never post API keys in screenshots or reports.
Still failing?
Temporarily disable proxy or Tor inside LRPGM, test a small sample, and save the complete error message. Report the engine and failed stage after removing every secret from the text and images.
