LRPGM does not detect an RPG Maker game: how to fix it
Check the executable, extraction, game engine, path, and active translation state.
Quick checks
1. Fully extract the game if it is inside a .zip or .rar file.
2. Select the .exe that actually launches the game, not an installer or shortcut.
3. Confirm the folder includes RPG Maker files and not only an external launcher.
4. Finish the currently open translation before adding another project.
5. Check whether the same path is already registered or archived.
LRPGM validates a project before adding it. An executable running on Windows does not by itself make it a compatible game. Available versions and features also differ between Guest, Free, Basic, and Plus.
The game was moved
If it was already in the library, open Properties and change the path instead of creating a duplicate entry.
Still not recognized
Open Report a problem, indicate that the game was not detected, and provide its RPG Maker version, source, and folder structure. Do not send the complete game or protected files without permission.
